This 14W heat mat with an adjustable dial covers a full 11 x 11 inches, enough to warm the brood chambers of a large modular ant farm or a whole section of an outworld. Your colony keeps growing through the cold months, and you can dial the heat down when summer comes.

How to use it with an ant colony
- Cover only part of the setup (about a third to half), never the whole nest. Ants need a cooler area to move brood to.
- Start on a low setting and check the temperature after an hour. Most common species do well at around 24–28 °C in the warm zone.
- Keep an eye on humidity: warm nests dry out faster, so refill hydration more often.
- For the most stable temperature, use it with a thermostat or check it with a thermometer, such as our thermometer and hygrometer.

Use it only under the outside of an enclosure, never inside where animals can touch it directly. Don’t fold it, cover it with bedding, or put it in water. Unplug it before cleaning.
