We have long had the idea to refuse plastic and similar decor. In the wild, ants very rarely encounter such materials, and in general it looks somehow not real, especially the “fakes” in the style of moss from Aliexpress!

And the idea was simple – to observe ants at home, but at the same time as if in the “forest”. But how to implement it?

6 months of testing. We conducted various tests and trials in our formicariums on the subject of how the moss in the farm and the ants feel, whether there is enough moisture for both and many other factors. We grew several colonies of ants.

When making compositions, we use only environmentally friendly, natural materials. These are the roots of various trees, cork oak, aquarium soils of various types and fractions, real lava, and much more. Each landscape is unique, it is an author’s work,

All decorations are fully prepared, washed and disinfected.
We do not use various chemical elements that are dangerous for ants, since the use of such elements can negatively affect the life expectancy of ants. All landscape decorations are completely assembled by hand.
