- Temperature: Prefers warm conditions for optimal development. Ideal temperature range is 75-86°F. Higher temperatures within this range significantly accelerate brood production..
- Diapause: Does not require diapause. This species remains active year-round when kept warm, making it ideal for continuous observation and growth.
- Growth: Very fast-growing species. Brood development can take as little as 3-5 weeks under ideal warmth and feeding. Colonies can reach thousands of workers within a short time, especially with multiple queens present.
