Live Product Shipping

Ant Farms Calgary strictly ships live ants only within Canada due to legal and environmental regulations.
Orders containing live ants placed from outside Canada will be canceled and refunded at 90% of the total purchase price to cover labor, packaging, and transaction fees.
Customers outside Canada may still order non-living products such as formicariums, outworlds, and other supplies.

Winter season:
If your purchase includes live ant colonies, please note that we only ship ants when the destination temperature is 1-5°C (33.8°F41°F) or higher to ensure their safety during transit.

If the weather at the destination is below this threshold, we reserve the right to either:
1. Cancel and fully refund your order, or
2. Ship the order without the ants, in which case a partial refund will be issued for the ants excluded (15 CAD).

We will contact you before making any changes to your order.
This policy is in place to protect the health and wellbeing of the ants during shipping.

Order Processing & Shipping Time

Orders are typically processed within 1-3 business days.
Shipping times vary depending on your location and selected shipping method.
Once shipped, you will receive a tracking number for your order.
Delivery times may be affected by weather conditions, carrier delays, or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.

Damaged or Incorrect Orders

Please inspect your order upon arrival and contact us immediately if any items are defective, damaged, or incorrect.
We will assess the issue and work to resolve it as quickly as possible.
Claims for damaged or incorrect items must be submitted within 7 days of receiving your order.

Returns & Refunds

Returns are accepted within 10 days of purchase, provided the product is unused, in its original packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase.

  • Custom-made or modified products may not be eligible for returns.
  • If your return is approved, we will provide you with a shipping label.
    Items sent back without prior approval will not be eligible for a refund.
  • Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you of the refund status.
    If approved, the refund will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days.
    Alternatively, store credit can be issued upon request.
  • If you do not receive your refund within 15 business days after approval, please contact us.

Lost or Delayed Shipments

We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers or factors outside our control.
If your order is significantly delayed or lost in transit, please reach out to us, and we will assist in filing a claim with the carrier.

International Orders

Non-living products can be shipped internationally.
Customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import restrictions applicable in their country.
Ant Farms Calgary is not responsible for delays or issues caused by customs clearance procedures.
